One injured in Goshen DUI crash

A Goshen man was arrested on multiple charges Friday night after crashing a pick-up truck on County Road 36, east of Century Drive. The eastbound truck went off the road and landed on its side in a ditch, facing the opposite direction. Jorge Diaz, 41, was arrested after testing nearly twice the legal limit for alcohol, after the accident at 7:45 p.m. An Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department new release stated the man’s breath alcohol content tested at .14 percent. Other charges included driving while a habitual traffic offender on a 10-year suspension and driving too fast for road conditions. A passenger in his vehicle, Misty Converse, 29, of Elkhart, was treated for a concussion.
