Fire officials are still working to determine what started a mobile home blaze in Mishawaka Sunday afternoon. Firefighters were sent to the home in the 1600 block of Burnham Drive about 2:45 p.m. That’s on the city’s southeast edge, near Harrison and Byrkit. Smoke and fire were spewing from the home when they arrived. The home was occupied, according to city 911 dispatch, but the occupants were able to get out safely. There were no injuries reported. The fire was quickly controlled, but a fire marshal remained at the scene as the investigation continued.
