The Chicago Tribune is reporting Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd was cited for underage drinking after his involvement in a fight early Friday in Minneapolis. Floyd, a 20-year-old sophomore from St. Paul, Minn., is among five "arrestees" listed in University of Minnesota police records, obtained by the Chicago Tribune. Floyd was cited in lieu of arrest. According to the report, Floyd admitted to doing "a couple of shots" earlier in the evening and had blood on his hands, feet and shirt after what Floyd told police was a "physical altercation" at a house party. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder was ND’s second-leading receiver in 2009 (44 recs., 795 yards, 9 TDs), despite missing five games with a broken collarbone. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was not available for comment. How ever the legal ramifications play out, Floyd will likely have to go before Notre Dame’s own judicial arm, the Office of Residence Life.
