WARSAW — Two men are behind bars after officers found two suspected meth labs in the back of their pickup truck Friday night. An officer pulled over a speeding vehicle on Armstrong Road east of Leesburg. During the traffic stop, the officer noticed a strong odor of meth coming from the vehicle. The two men ‒ 39-year-old Andrew Kneller of Silver Lake and 26-year-old Gabriel Fields of Warsaw ‒ told the officer they had been fishing, but the officer could not find any fishing equipment in the truck. More officers were called to the scene, where they located what was believed to be two meth labs. Kneller was preliminary charged with the possession of methamphetamine precursors. Fields was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine as well as an outstanding probation violation warrant. The two were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail. Kneller’s bond was set at $2,000. Fields does not have a bond.
