Lawton woman injured in Cass County crash

A two-vehicle crash late Sunday morning in Cass County’s Porter Township injured a 20-year-old Lawton woman. Brittany Woodhams was driving west on Shavehead Lake Street, east of Birch Road, when a westbound vehicle crossed the center line and collided with her vehicle. A Cass County Sheriff’s Department news release stated the other driver, Thomas Huston, 27, of Vandalia, was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Newberg Ambulance personnel. Woodhams was taken to Three Rivers Hospital and transferred later Sunday to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. No information on Woodhams’ condition was available early Monday morning from a Bronson spokesman.
