Robber gets fast cash at Niles Check ‘n Go

Berrien County police are asking the public’s help in finding the man who robbed the Check ‘n Go business Friday afternoon in Niles. A 3:51 p.m., a man wearing a bright blue bandana across his face came into the business demanding money, but had no check to cash. The suspect reportedly placed his hand in his pocket, as if to infer he was armed, police said. The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and fled out the back door of the business. According to a Berrien County Sheriff’s Department news release, the suspect is described as a black, 5-foot 8-inches, 150 pounds, wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
