MARSHALL COUNTY — Three people were injured in a two-car crash that involved a Marshall County sheriff’s deputy Tuesday. A preliminary investigation by crash reconstructionists from the Indiana State Police Bremen Post revealed that Marshall County Patrolman Les McFarland, 42, of Bourbon, was driving a police car westbound on Indiana 110 at U.S. 31 in southern Marshall County shortly after noon. McFarland stopped for northbound traffic but failed to see or yield to a southbound vehicle driven by Timothy Anderson, 44, of Granger. The back of McFarland’s police car was struck by the front end of Anderson’s car. McFarland was transported from the scene to Saint Joseph Regional Hospital in Plymouth for an injury to his elbow. Anderson was taken by ambulance with a complaint of neck pain to Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester. Anderson’s passenger, Tina Anderson-Mathes, 48, of South Bend, was taken to Woodlawn Hospital with a complaint of upper back pain. All three were treated for injuries and later released
