Utility pole, lines down after Adams Road crash

Police continued to investigate early Wednesday after a driver plowed into a utility pole in St. Joseph County and then left the scene. The accident happened shortly before midnight in the 14800 block of Adams Road, county 911 dispatch said. There were no immediate reports of injuries. But the driver knocked over the utility pole, leaving wires down with at least one report of power out to a nearby home. When police arrived, there was no one at the scene. Authorities say the driver was located and was questioned after leaving the scene of the accident.
