Elkhart County police pursuit ends in accident

Police searched Sunday night for a driver who fled the scene of an Elkhart crash following a police pursuit just before 8 p.m. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department dispatch center said the driver was leaving the scene of a domestic dispute on Kiser Court, near the intersection of Johnson Street and County Road 6, north of the city. Police pursued the vehicle, but the driver crashed and then fled the scene of that accident. Officers searched the area for the driver, who was believed to be in custody minutes later. No one was injured in either the accident or the crash, according to the sheriff’s department.
