Fatal accident shuts down U.S. 131 near Constantine

Police say winter weather caused a deadly crash south of Constantine. It happened around 9:45 this morning, just north of Stears Road. Police say a 19-year-old Elmer Bontrager lost control on the icy roads, and slammed into a semi. 22-year-old Glenn Fry was riding in the car. He died at the scene. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Bontrager, his two other passengers and semi driver weren't seriously hurt. The road was re-opened hours later.
