Man flees after attempting to rob Elkhart McDonald's

Elkhart Police say a man attempted to rob a McDonald’s restaurant before fleeing on foot late Tuesday. The man threatened a worker and demanded money at the restaurant, at 130 N. Main St., about 11:40 p.m. But the attempt was unsuccessful and the man took off before police arrived. Officers continued searching the nearby area early Wednesday, but authorities said they did not yet have anyone in custody.
