Fire extinguished at Plymouth gas station

PLYMOUTH – Fire broke out inside a Marathon gas station early Saturday morning, causing smoke damage to much of the building. The fire was reported about 12:19 a.m. to the gas station at 2405 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. The Plymouth Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to control the fire within 10 minutes, the department reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but firefighters said the station’s gas tanks were never in danger.
