Robber shoves victim in closet

SOUTH BEND — Police say a robber forced a woman into a closet Monday afternoon before robbing her home of a television, DVD player and a Nintendo Wii. The woman told police she had gone outside her home in the 1300 block of North Johnson Street to let her dogs out about 3:30 p.m.. As she turned to go back inside, a man approached and chased her into her home. The man, who displayed no weapon, grabbed the woman and shoved her into a closet, where she remained as he stole items from her home, police said.
