ELKHART — Thanks to about $202,000 in stimulus money the city is set to receive, Elkhart will soon hire 21 full-time seasonal workers. According to a news release from Mayor Dick Moore’s office, details have yet to be finalized, but hiring is expected to begin soon. Applications may be completed at the city’s human resources office at 201 S. Second St and can be downloaded at www.elkhartindiana.org. The new employees will be used by several different city departments, including building and grounds and the street and cemetery departments. In the release, Moore said, "These new employees will help us to complete tasks that we would not normally be able to get to in the course of a normal day’s work."
