One injured after LaPorte County vehicle lands in ditch

LaPorte authorities say one person had minor injuries after a vehicle landed in a water-filled ditch near the Springville area. The accident happened about 6 p.m. CST at the intersection of county roads West 650 North and 125 West, according to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department. The driver was able to get out and was waiting for emergency help when crews arrived. There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
