Teen injured in drive-by shooting

SOUTH BEND — Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg Thursday night in an apparent drive-by shooting. The teen told police he was walking near the corner of Dubail and Taylor streets, in the Rum Village neighborhood, when someone drove by and began firing a gun, with one of the bullets striking the teen about 9:45 p.m. The 15-year-old was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he was interviewed by police. Police say the teen was unable to provide a clear description of the car or suspect. Officers investigating the reported shooting scene said they were unable to recover any evidence.
