St. Joseph County Parks shift to spring/summer hours

Beginning Monday (March 15), St. Joseph County Parks will operate on its spring/summer hours, staying open until 8:30 p.m. nightly. Spring/summer hours are in effect for Bendix Woods, Ferrettie-Baugo Creek and St. Patrick’s parks. Spicer Lake Nature Preserve will close at 7 p.m. Other changes coming include:

  • Weekend park entrance fees will be charged beginning in April at Bendix Woods, St. Patrick’s and Ferrettie-Baugo Creek.
  • Friday entrance fees will be charged at St. Patrick’s from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
  • All county parks will be closed April 2. Park fees: $3 for in-county vehicles; $4 for out-of-county vehicles. Annual gate passes are $20 for in-county vehicles and $25 for out-of-county vehicles. Information: (574) 277-4828 Web site: www.sjcparks.org
