Penn students score well in Academic Super Bowl

Penn High School put on a pretty good showing Monday night at the Fort Wayne-Dwenger Academic Super Bowl Invitational. Fifteen teams competed to answer questions in six different categories, all reflecting this year’s theme of “American Generation: 1964-1980.” The Penn students won three categories and placed in four. Final score tallies were not provided, but the list of top-three winners in each category included: Social studies: Penn, Fort Wayne Lures, Fort Wayne Southside Math: Penn, Fort Wayne Dwenger, Leo English: Fort Wayne Dwenger, Fort Wayne Elmhurst, Leo Science: Penn, Fort Wayne Northside and Fort Wayne Dwenger (tied) Fine Arts: Leo, Fort Wayne Lures, Fort Wayne Southside Interdisciplinary: Fort Wayne Dwenger, Penn, Fort Wayne Lures The next competition will be the regional match at Mishawaka High School on April 20.
