Single car accident leaves Granger residents without power

St. Joseph County Police and Clay Fire Territory responded to a one vehicle accident that struck a pole on Adams Road just east of Grape Road the driver sustained injuries but they were not believed to be life threatening March 27, 2010

Indiana Michigan Power (AEP) is working to restore power in Granger around the intersection of Adams and Pine Ridge Road. A car ran into a pole causing it to fall and catch grass on fire. According to AEP, more than 1,300 residents lost power. By 5:30 p.m. 615 residents were still without power. All service is estimated to be restored by 9:30 p.m. Police are blocking eastbound traffic on Adams Road. No one was injured in the accident.
