Crews quickly extinguish Mishawaka residence fire

MISHAWAKA — Fire crews responded quickly to a residential fire in the 300 block of 4th Street in Mishawaka Sunday morning. Crews arrived at the residence shortly before 9 a.m. to find a house with flames coming from the second story window. All residents of the home were evacuated and there are no injuries reported. Fire crews on the scene said that the fire started in an upstairs bedroom. A witness walking near the residence said that an air conditioning unit fell from the window as a result. The second story suffered significant damage. The cause of the blaze is still undetermined.
