Argos and Plymouth firefighters are at the scene of a fire at Madras Packaging on Dewey Street in Argos. Argos firefighters were first dispatched at 6:30 a.m. Friday on a report of fire in a ceiling. A short time later, an aerial truck was requested from the Plymouth Fire Department. Employees were able to safely evacuate the building. A four-alarm fire broke out at the company on Jan. 22 when an electrical failure started a fire between the ceiling and the roof. Again, employees were able to safely evacuate. That fire halted production for nearly a week, as crews cleaned up water and smoke damage, according to a South Bend Tribune news story.
