Police searching for Mishawaka home invaders

MISHAWAKA — Police were searching for individuals Thursday afternoon in connection with a home invasion in the 500 block of west 3rd Street in Mishawaka around 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Police later located a Chevy Blazer parked on south 31st Street in South Bend that matched the description of the robbers’ get-away car. There was no one in the car, but police from South Bend and Mishawaka searched the vehicle and surrounding area extensively, they said. Residents on 3rd Street told police the burglars fired at least one shot as they left the home invasion scene, police said.
