Alyssa is a reporter for WSBT News First Thing in the Morning. She joined the news team in August 2009.
She enjoys reporting because she's able to meet new people, see interesting things, and learn about a variety of topics. She likes how every day is different. As a general assignment reporter, Alyssa covers a wide range of stories.
Alyssa got her start in news at Logansport's WSAL/WLHM radio and most recently worked as the morning anchor/reporter for WLFI-TV in West Lafayette. Alyssa has been interested in reporting since 5th grade. During her college career, she interned at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis and WANE-TV in Fort Wayne. She also was a reporter for NewsLink Indiana in Muncie.
She graduated from Ball State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications.
In her free time, Alyssa loves spending time with friends and family. Alyssa also enjoys jogging, and has completed three mini-marathons.
