VAN BUREN COUNTY — One man is behind bars and another man is in critical condition after a crash on I-94 in Paw Paw Township Sunday morning.
Officers arrived on the scene shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on the report of a wo-vehicle accident on I-94 eastbound near exit 56. When police arrived, they found one of the drivers ejected from his vehicle after a car had rear-ended him.
Police say the 21-year-old Coloma driver who had rear-ended the vehicle had been consuming alcohol. He was arrested and lodged at the Van Buren County Jail for alcohol-related offenses.
The injured 48-year-old man from Covert was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital and is in critical condition.
The crash is under investigation.
