Daniels will be crocodile for trick-or-treaters

October 28, 2010

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and his staff are dressing as Peter Pan characters this Halloween, and Daniels will dress the part of the crocodile.

Daniels will be giving trick-or-treaters jump ropes and candy donated by Indiana companies on Sunday at the governor's residence.

The governor's office says first lady Cheri Daniels won't be handing out candy this year because she broke her foot on Wednesday when she slipped in her kitchen.

Trick-or-treaters coming to the governor's residence on Halloween will get chocolate bars from DeBrand Fine Chocolate in Fort Wayne, chocolate-dipped pretzels from Schimpff's Confectionery of Jeffersonville and chocolate-covered mints and fruit jells from Zachary Confections in Frankfort.

The governor's residence is along Meridian Street on the north side of Indianapolis.
