Elkhart Mayor Dick Moore invites the community to a combined event on Dec. 8.
A community reception is open from 2 to 5 p.m. in the common council chambers, 229 S. Second St.
All who come to the reception are asked to bring non-perishable food items to help replenish area food pantries’ shelves.
