ELKHART COUNTY - An Elkhart County business continues to give back to the community.
Almost two years ago, Premier Rental in Goshen opened its doors on Sundays to the unemployed. Anyone can use the stores computers to file for unemployment, not just customers. The owner hoped the service wouldn't be needed anymore, but with unemployment rates in the County staying steady; the business is now expanding the service to its Elkhart location.
“We just want to get the word out, let people know that our owner is concerned about our community, and we do respect the folks in our community that don’t have jobs,” said Store Manager Dan Balentine.
You can file for unemployment benefits at Premier Rental on Sundays from Noon to Four. The Elkhart store is at 125 Easy Shopping Place. The Goshen store is on Pike Street.
