SOUTH BEND — A man told police he was held up by three men Sunday night as he was walking to the grocery store.
The 45-year-old man told police he was walking to Martin’s, in the 1300 block of West Elwood Avenue, when he was confronted by three men who displayed a semiautomatic handgun and demanded his money.
The victim told police he complied with the demand and then proceeded to the grocery store, where he called police.
The suspects — men described as in their 20s, of medium height and all wearing black pants and black hooded sweatshirts — could not be found.
