Hoosiers eligible to collect extended unemployment benefits can begin online filings on Sunday.
With the recently passed federal law extending unemployment benefits, an estimated 90,000 Hoosiers will again be eligible, according to a Department of Workforce Development news release.
“Starting Sunday, almost all eligible Hoosiers will be able to file their vouchers following the normal process to get their benefits before Christmas,” said Mark Everson, Indiana Workforce Development commissioner.
In order to qualify for retroactive benefits, Hoosiers need to complete weekly vouchers through Uplink, Indiana’s online filing system.
Hoosiers moving into the Extended Benefits program, the final tier of benefits, will not have vouchers available on Dec. 19. That program requires application in person at a WorkOne Center. Applicants must bring their DWD eligibility letter. The department will resume sending those letters next week.
