BENTON HARBOR -- Four men were charged following a home invasion in Benton Harbor, according to a release from the Benton Harbor Police Department.
According to the release, around 12:30 p.m. on December 17, Benton Harbor Police responded to the report of a home invasion in the 500 block of Colfax Avenue. When officers arrived, they saw the rear door to the home was kicked in.
The homeowners reported three flat panel televisions were taken during the home invasion. The values of the televisions were estimated at $2,200.
Just shortly after, officers received tips from citizens that a car was occupied by four men parked in the area of May Street and Colfax street. With the information supplied by the citizen tips, the four suspects were taken into custody. After further investigation, it was found one of the suspects had stolen jewelry in his possession that was reported missing from another Benton Harbor home.
