MISHAWAKA — A two-vehicle crash in the 4500 block of Grape Road caused a traffic snafu just before 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Alternating light and heavy snow showers were also problematic for drivers throughout Michiana on Friday. Conditions will continue to deteriorate as heavy snow is expected through Saturday night.
ALake Effect Snow Warning is in effect through Saturday night for the Indiana counties of Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph and the Michigan counties of Berrien and Cass.
From the heavy snow bands, expect 1-inch to 3-inches more this afternoon, another 2-inches to 4-inches Friday night and between 2- and 4-inches more on Saturday, according to WSBT Meteorologist Cari Peugeot.
