Michigan State Police troopers are trying to find 17 Berrien County sex offenders who failed to report during the January 2011 verification period of Jan. 1 to Jan. 15.
As of Jan. 16, offenders who fail to verify their addresses as required can be arrested and charged with a misdemeanor. Any offenders not located by officers will have warrants issued for their arrests.
Berrien County currently has 468 registered sex offenders.
