MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) — A 13-year-old western Michigan girl -- the subject of an Amber Alert -- is safe after being located.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports Tuesday morning that details of where Kennedy Nolan was found were not released.

The Amber Alert was issued Tuesday morning for the girl who last was seen at her grandfather's house in Muskegon Heights, about 35 miles west-northwest of Grand Rapids.

Police had said Kennedy's mother picks her up every morning at the home, but found only her school folder on the ground.

Police said an adult in the home heard a car pull up Tuesday and the girl went outside.
