ELKHART — The second investigation in less than a week into threats made at Concord Jr. High School will result in police searching students, staff, buses, lockers and buildings Tuesday - depsite the arrest of a 14-year-old boy in connection with the threat.
Late Monday night, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department was contacted after a threatening letter was found by staff in a boys’ restroom.
The note threatened a “school shooting during the first or second hours” of class on Tuesday.
As school officials and police began investigating this threat, a caller tipped police to a suspect, according to a news release from Capt. James Bradberry.
Subsequently, a the boy was arrested for felony intimidation and is being held at the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center.
