2nd body found in NW Indiana manure pile identified

May 16, 2011

GARY, Ind. (AP) — A northwestern Indiana coroner has identified the second of two bodies found buried in a horse farm's manure pile as that of a Chicago man.

Lake County Chief Deputy Coroner P.J. Adams told the Post-Tribune of Merrillville that authorities used fingerprints provided by Indiana State Police to identify the body as 33-year-old Juan Antonio Perez. Adams says both Perez and 35-year-old Victor Flores of East Chicago were shot execution style.

The bodies were found April 24 when horse owners visiting the farm saw body parts sticking out from the manure and called police.
