An early-morning police pursuit Monday resulted in two Marshall County police officers crashing their vehicles.
The chase began just before 12:30 a.m. on State Road 17 at Hillcrest. An officer tried to stop the 32-year-old suspect, say police, and he refused to pull over.
The pursuit continued through Marshall, Starke and Pulaski counties, according to a 911 dispatcher.
Officer Jordan Rans of the Plymouth Police Department and Officer Travis Oneal of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department both got into accidents.
Oneal had to be extricated from his car, but both officers only received minor bumps and bruises, according to police.
Other officers caught the suspect in the 6300 block of 600E Monterey at about 12:50 a.m. He was booked into Marshall County Jail and faces charges for driving while suspended and resisting law enforcement.
