MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — A central Indiana reservoir is being searched by investigators who've been trying to find a missing woman for more than a week.
Muncie police Capt. Mark Vollmar tells The Star Press (http://bit.ly/rnuULJ ) that Prairie Creek Reservoir a few miles southeast of the city was being searched Wednesday in an attempt to rule it out as a possible location for 40-year-old Kimberly Nelson.
Vollmar says there's no significant information pointing to the reservoir. Officers expected to use 14 search dogs from several agencies.
Nelson was last seen leaving a Muncie youth treatment center at the end of her work shift on Aug. 1. Her car was found in a city park a few days later, but nothing was found in a search of a nearby river and wooded area.
