Three Vicksburg residents were arraigned in 7th District Court Monday on charges stemming from their arrests for throwing large rocks at passing vehicles. The incidents occurred on M-43 near 46th Street.
A woman was struck in the head by a large rock when it smashed through the windshield of a pickup truck she was riding in Saturday night. The woman was taken to a hospital in Bronson for treatment and later released, police said.
A driver and passenger in another vehicle struck by a large rock were not injured.
Police said the suspects spent Saturday at the beach in South Haven and picked up a large amount of railroad rocks, which they three at passing motorists.
Police released the following suspect information:
- Suspect 1 (driver): Sergey Alexander Madison, 18. Charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and felonious assault. Bond set at $2,500 cash or surety. His blood alcohol level was 0.15, police said. Pretrial set for Sept. 6.
- Suspect 2: Nicholas Jason Comport, 36. Charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and allowing an intoxicated person to operate a motor vehicle. Bond set at $1,000. Pretrial set for Sept. 6.
- Suspect 3: Dustin Dewayne Voss, 18. Charged with minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. Personal recognizance bond issued.
- Two other suspects, both minors, were cited and released to the custody of their parents.
