SOUTH BEND – The St. Joseph County Prosecutor filed charges against two babysitters accused of using a 2-year-old to steal alcohol at a local store.
Danielle Howey is charged with felony theft and false informing and Benjamin Sim is charged with felony theft.
At this time, the charges only pertain to the alleged theft of DVD’s at the Wal-Mart on Portage Road.
Police also say the couple used a blanket and a 2-year-old family member they were babysitting to steal 10 bottles of liquor from Meijer.
