GOSHEN – Police have released the name of the officer involved in Sunday's shooting that killed an Elkhart County man.
Police say Joshua Havens, a five year veteran with Goshen police, was placed on paid administrative leave after shooting and killing Marvin Bledsoe just outside of city limits Sunday night.
Police say Bledsoe led them on a pursuit before crashing into a business on the city's northeast side.
Goshen police say this leave is in compliance with standard department procedure, because the case is still under investigation. No disciplinary actions have been taken.
