The prosecutor's office filed charges late today against a man who ran out of the St. Joseph County courthouse last Friday to avoid going to jail.
Hakeen Hogan now faces three charges related to the escape.
He appeared in front of a judge last Friday on misdemeanor marijuana charges. When the judge ordered him to either pay $750 or go to jail, police say Hogan took off.
He struggled with an officer on his way out. That officer fell down some stairs, hurting his legs.
Hogan also got past a second officer.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Police say he should be considered dangerous.
