November 11, 2011

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Purdue University officials say a 23-year-old student has been found dead at an off-campus residence.

WLFI TV reports Daniel Davis' roommate found Davis dead when he went to wake him about 9 a.m. Thursday.

Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg says Purdue police say there was no sign of foul play. The Journal & Courier reports the Tippecanoe County coroner will perform an autopsy. Purdue says the cause of death is unknown.

Davis was a junior in the College of Health and Human Sciences majoring in health and kinesiology. His Facebook page indicates he was from Crown Point.
