ELKHART – An event Friday night will showcase the now famous Elk Art on Parade and raise money for a great cause.
All 30 elks are on display at the Lerner Theatre.
Local artists created them earlier this year and then they were displayed across Elkhart city and county.
The campaign is raising money for Child and Parent Services (CAPS).
“This campaign has gone places we just could not have imagined,” said Jami Stamm, CAPS marketing director. “We thought it would bring a lot of community pride and we have heard from so many people about how excited they are for the elk. We have had smaller groups of people banding together to trying to raise money to purchase the elk.”
The elks will be auctioned off Friday night.
