Former Niles officer wants to withdraw guilty plea

A former Niles police officer has apparently changed his mind. He wants to change his guilty plea and go to trial to face charges he sexually assaulting an inmate.

Ivery Cross has filed paperwork to withdraw his guilty plea. If his motion is granted, his sentence to three concurrent 5-year terms would be set aside.

A hearing on Cross's request is set for next month.
