Area road condition report for Tuesday

Snow will shut off from west to east this afternoon. Roads are still slick so please be careful outside. Slush and water will turn to ice tonight making roads hazardous overnight. Be careful out there!


What roads were like Tuesday morning:

- Kosciusko County dispatch said slide-offs were scattered throughout the county. Kosciusko County police say one driver was killed and the other driver taken to a Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition in a head-on crash this morning at State Road 15 and County Road 900 north near Millford. This happened just before 8 a.m.

- Marshall County was seeing an uptick in crashes and slide-offs pretty much everywhere.

- St. Joseph County dispatch said the Bypass was a mess from U.S. 31 to State Road 2.  A lot of slide-offs and one minor crash. At Douglas and 23 there was a minor accident and another minor on State Line Road.

- Berrien County dispatch said I-94 was very slippery. They were seeing a lot of slide-offs.

- State police said the Toll Road has lots of slide-offs and minor crashes this morning all along its length.

- LaPorte County said there were 10 to 15 slide-offs and minor crashes this morning. The northern and far southern parts of the county were particularly bad.

- Elkhart County dispatcher said there was a definite increase in slide-offs and minor crashes.

- Cass County dispatch said the Niles and Edwardsburg area seemed to have a fair amount of slide-offs and minor crashes this morning.

- Starke County dispatch had lots of slide-offs and minor crashes throughout the county.
