January 12, 2012

NORTON SHORES, Mich. (AP) — A high school music paraprofessional in western Michigan has been charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct after accusations he had inappropriate conduct with students.

Mona Shores Public Schools Superintendent Dave Peden notified parents about the outcome of a police investigation in a letter distributed Wednesday. The district is based in the Muskegon suburb of Norton Shores.

The Muskegon Chronicle says (http://bit.ly/AdGUKS ) 54-year-old Michael D'Oyly has been under investigation since Jan. 3 and was arrested Tuesday.

Peden says D'Oyly used to work as a choir accompanist but no longer does so.

There's no phone listing for D'Oyly in the area, and he couldn't be reached for comment.
