FLINT, Mich. (AP) — The Flint school district says a woman's claim that a teacher injured her son during an argument at school involving another student was a misunderstanding.
Flint School District spokesman Robert Campbell tells The Flint Journal (http://bit.ly/wMHvW3) for a story published Tuesday that the incident happened last week at Dort Elementary.
Campbell says the principal "spoke with the parent and all is fine." He says no internal investigation was under way.
An assault report was filed with police Thursday after the boy complained of minor injuries.
The boy told police that he and another child were arguing in a classroom when he approached the other boy. Police were told the teacher grabbed the boy and swung him back, causing him to fall into a chalkboard ledge.
