Man finds live pit bull in Saginaw home he bought

April 06, 2012

SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) — A foreclosed home in Saginaw that a man bought for $1,000 came with many things.

It had some plumbing and appliances.

It also featured a live pit bull chained inside one of the bedrooms, unpleasant odors and heaps of trash.

Antonio Brooks lives next to the downtrodden, 896-square-foot, two-bedroom bungalow.

MLive.com reports (http://bit.ly/Idhq0t ) Brooks bought the home at auction for $1,000, plus $600 for deed transfer and other fees.

Brooks says that he when he looks at the house he sees a future home for his mother.

After having the Saginaw County Animal Care Center retrieve the dog, Brooks says he spent two weeks bleaching floors and walls and removing feces and garbage.
