BEVERLY SHORES, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say they've identified a body found along the Lake Michigan shore in northwestern Indiana as that of a 33-year-old Benton Harbor man reported missing two months ago.
The Porter County coroner says the identification of Willie Edward Hurse was made by state police from fingerprints.
Coroner Chuck Harris tells The Times of Munster (http://bit.ly/HGR5YQ ) that Hurse was reported missing Feb. 4 to Michigan police. A woman walking along a beach in the town of Beverly Shores found the body washed ashore on Wednesday.
Harris says the body had no obvious signs of trauma. He says investigators are waiting for toxicology and tissue test results in hopes of determining what caused Hurse's death.
