A fire at KIK Custom Products that a dispatcher told us was “potentially volatile” because it involved aerosol is now under control, according to a WSBT photographer at the scene. No one was injured.
The building, at 2730 Middlebury Street, used to be Accra-Pac. An explosion and fire there in 1976 killed 5 people and injured nearly 60.
Crews were called to deal with the fire around 5:30 p.m. and were packing up just before 7 p.m. There is no word yet on how it started.
